Let's talk about Love

Today i heard a speech on love. And i found this particular line very true.

Basically, it goes like this, "Everyone wants to be loved and love. But in accepting the responsibility of love, we are accepting not only the happiness that it brings but also the possible sadness."

Well, when u love someone, u must be prepared to stick with that person thru thick and thin (cliched but true), u have to share the happy moments and the sad ones, the laughter and the silences.

And what really sucks is when u know that the person u love is upset or worried or stressed and you can't help her in the least.

What really sucks is that you love her so much that u can't help but feel down when she is down.

What really sucks is that u know she doesn't want to burden u but u can sense her despair.

And unlike before, when i wanted so much more, all i want now is:

A smile.

To hear her laughter.

To hear the joy in her voice at hearing my voice.

And how i wish, how i wish that:

I could make her laugh, and not make her worry anymore about me by showing her that i am worried about her.

But i can't.

And it really sucks- the fact that i can make all my friends and family laugh, but i fail to bring even the tiniest smile to her face.

But that's the irony of love.
