My 'Tyco'ness
Today,i went down to Amoy Street to do a survey for $30...
However, as the sms did not include any details about which part of Amoy Street the survey was at, and my friend was the one who forwarded it to me, meaning that the original sms was lost, i had no means to contact the company doing the survey.
And yet, being the cheapskate (gian peng) person that i am, i decided to drop by Amoy Street anyway.
Having no idea where on Earth this street was, i had to ask a middle aged woman for directions and then just walk all around Amoy Street and hope that i could find the survey.
If you all have been there before, you would know that Amoy Street is just a row of old shophouses. Therefore i wandered about aimlessly trying to figure out where the survey was.
But anyway, in my travels, i wandered past this old building that had the sign Survey Being Conducted posted on the door.
I walked in and to my horror, realised that this was a totally different survey from the one i had set out to find. It was on coffee and the sms i had received mentioned a survey on food and beverage!
Luckily, as my friends always say, I- Christopher Ong am damn tyco(lucky)...and so i was allowed to do this other survey in the end, and got paid $15...
I didn't get $30, only half of it, but one must count the small blessings in life and $15 for 10minutes work ain't too shabby!
