The Parable of the Fruit Seller and his Watermelon
Today i have a parable to share.
Imagine that you are a fruit seller trading in watermelons.
One day, a long-time customer of yours comes up to you and says:
"I think that your watermelon's not of a high standard."
Now, you, the fruit seller has two choices-
a) Throw the watermelon away (condemn it for being poor)
b) Show the watermelon even more tender, loving, care because afterall, as its owner, that is your responsibility.
What would you choose?
Well, I chose (b), without hesitation.
Now, whether you chose (a) or (b) would not diminish the hurt that the watermelon felt. Afterall, who wants to be called a second-grade watermelon?
Anyway, this brings me to my point: As the fruit seller, it is my responsibility to treat this watermelon well. So my point is: Don't bother to buy watermelons from me if you have something ill to say about them.
