Phuket!!! (Part 3)

OK, no more boring details on shopping- on to the fun stuff!

Since we were offered a one-day package by our tour guide (we went free and ezy but we had a one day complimentary trip to do stuff like elephant trekking, paintball, go-karting, ATV, etc. Only the car trip was free and we had to pay for whatever sports we did, so we just took the paintball and ATV (all-terrain vehicle).

First, Paintball. From L-R, Shujin, myself, Fabian, Dewei, Ben, Ivan.


(Ironically, our tour guide was called RAMBO! At least that's wat was on his name-card)

Anyway, we played the most 'garand' paintball ever. The people there must have been bemused to see Shujin (the ex-army officer) and Ben (the ex-commando) leopard crawling a la a real war. Shujin (who thankfully was on my team) gave us detailed instructions like "Chris, flank the right side" and "Ivan, help me draw their fire while Chris runs and steals the flag." even though he was fighting a bout of flu.

While they heroically when to fight the war, this ex-runner with the Blitztering Pace (TM) ran to steal the flag and back, ensuring we won. We won the second round, too, as SJ stole the flag for us. The other team was more interested in taking out Ivan. Especially Ben and Dewei, who couldn't care less about winning. They just wanted to kill Ivan.

As Fabian said later:"You won the war but we won the battle- against Ivan!"

And finally, to conclude this post about Phuket- the most fun thing of all- ATV! Words can't describe how much fun i had driving this thing through the jungle. Ten times better than speeding in S'pore in my car, especially when u REV the accelarator, leading your ATV onto a bumpy dirt track filled with bumps, humps and lotsa mud!
