It was 6.30pm and she was still at her office. Supposedly.
At close to 7, she gave me a call asking me to go join the queue at Creation Cafe. Then as i joined it, she asked me to walk inside to ask the management if they could put us on the waiting list.
I walked in, and heard a familiar voice. "Must be one of my friends," i thought.
Turned my head in the direction of the voice, and sitting at a table, looking as resplendent as i ever saw her, was my dear Jamie Ong.
I stopped to stare, at my girlfriend, who was wearing the beautiful dress we had seen at Heeren. The one i had asked her to buy but she had said didn't look good on her. She looked ravishing.
Jamie had surprised me again, she had turned up early to queue for the seats and order the food.
A wonderful 4- course meal, followed by a gift exchange, set the mood for a special evening.
We went to watch Casanova, a fitting movie for a romantic day.
Then, when it was over, we hurried to Marina Square, to the arcade before it closed.
We walked under the perfect night sky, with the gushing wind tussling our hair like a shampoo commercial.
Thankfully we got there just in time to have our memories captured for us by the Love-gety machine.
The day had to end eventually, but it ended fittingly, when i reached home to find that she had left me a gift in my bag.
Everything was just perfect.
Chris says:"She loves to surprise me and i love to be surprised by her."
