Narnia, Oh Narnia

I watched Narnia on Monday with Jamie (but no, this post won't have anything to do with Jamie since some friends say that my blog is too Jamie-oriented).

But first: I must warn that spoilers are included in this post so read at your own peril!

Anyway, the show was alrite, even if it did not quite live up to my expectations.

Some major talking points (for me at least):

1) When Aslan died, the baddies shaved him of' his mane, so how come when he was reincarnated, his fur magically grew back? Maybe Yun Nam Haircare can approach Aslan to ask him to be their spokesperson!

2) What's the point of having Santa give you a nice bow and arrow set if you fire it only once the ENTIRE movie? (OK, twice, if you count the arrow Susan fired at the target board. Sad.)

3) And why is Lucy given the title of Lucy THE VALIANT at the end of the movie when all she did was cry throughout? ( Was C.S Lewis being sarcastic here or maybe he needs a good dictionary?)

4) Same for Lucy's brother Edmund who was named Edmund THE JUST when he was in fact a TRAITOR! (More dark humor here perhaps?)

5) And wow, the POWERFUL White Witch was felled in ONE blow by Aslan. Really powerful indeed.

My rating: 3/5

Chris says: "I like Mr and Mrs Beaver most. By the way, C.S Lewis is really a creative guy, he gave the name Beaver to the male Beaver. How awfully creative"
